Alejo Martinez is a Grammy nominated artist from Cuba now residing in Cadiz, Spain with his wife and co songwriter Paloma Ramirez. Videos of Alejo Martinez were filmed in Valcarcel, an abandoned heritage listed school laying vacant and dormant for 10 years because a corporation bought it to turn it into a hotel and then neglected the building until the people of Cadiz opened it up cleaned it up and put it to good use giving it a new lease in life. One of the videos Alejo performs his rendition of Guantanamera which is certainly a crowd favourite.
